Life Before VIP
I have been brought up with dogs my entire life and with an unwavering compassion for all animals, I went to college to study animal care just to help out where I could. Through this I volunteered at SSPCA Bothwell Bridge looking after all the pups awaiting their 'happy ever after'.
Helping look after 40+ dogs in need not only gave me personal pride, but also ingrained a solid foundation of health and hygiene in a professional setting from the outset.
After retraining, I first ventured into the wedding industry as a bridal Make Up Artist. I spent eight years travelling to venues throughout Scotland to help my gorgeous clients look and feel beautiful on their big day.
This involved liaising with the photographers and work together to help deliver the perfect shots.
Little did I know how this experience would shape my future.
Working with animals was my first love and something I always wanted to return to, so fast forward to 2016 and I changed careers to set up my home dog boarding business 'Ramoth Pet Retreat' as a cosy alternative to kennels.
This continues to be a success. However time and again customers would drop their furbabies off for me to look after while they got married and they would always say
"I wish I could have them there"...
I was missing the buzz of working at weddings so I had an idea: Why not board the dogs and take them to the weddings for my lovely customers?
As I had experience with weddings and looking after dogs, it felt a natural progression to combine the two.
And it took off faster than I could ever have imagined!
So in October 2018...
Vows Including Pets was born!
